Women In Business (WIB) is an open-entry organization established to provide business-minded women with the background and network to support them in their professional endeavors. WIB's goal is to engage women across a wide variety of academic and professional affiliations on campus in order to catalyze the involvement of women in the Northwestern community, in the business world, and beyond. |
Every fall, Women In Business holds an eight-week educational series for new members to give them some initial exposure to a variety of fields within business and introduce them to some basic interviewing/networking skills. The educational series includes panels, workshops, speakers, networking sessions, and more.
Participation in the educational series is open to all members of the Northwestern community, and all attendees are considered "general members" of Women In Business. We want to empower women by giving them access to additional leadership experiences, so general members have the ability to join a Women in Business functional team based on their interests.
Functional Groups:
Women in Business members attend 8-9 events every quarter. These events are posted on our calendar and are only open to WIB members unless otherwise noted. All events are planned by the executive board with the assistance of the directors board. While Women In Business is a relatively new organization on Northwestern's campus, many academic institutions already have well established organizations. Feel free to check them out here.
